ETU-KOSKELA

The Koskela estate was established in the late spring of the 18th century. In the 19th century, the estate was split equally between brother and sister as Etu-koskela and Taka-koskela. Both economic centers were located on the existing Etu-Koskela hill and the surrounding farmlands were cultivated jointly. At the end of the 19th century, the official status distribution was carried out and the economic center of Taka-Koskela was moved to its current location. Koskela's family owned Etu-Koskala until 1920, when the ownership was transferred to the current family. The main building was built in 1912 and red brick barn was completed in 1933. Barn's attic was repaired for its current use in 2018.
